Zamora to inspect various markets in Metro Manila

In response to the recent inquiries from media about the pricing of goods in the markets, Metro Manila Council (MMC) President Mayor Francis Zamora and MMC Chairman Atty. Don Artes have set out to inspect various markets in Metro Manila to ensure that suggested retail prices are being followed.

Mayor Zamora expressed gratitude to Atty. Don Artes, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Department of Agriculture (DA) for accompanying them during their inspection of the Agora Market in San Juan.

Mayor Zamora emphasized the importance of ensuring that prices of goods are fair and reasonable, particularly for the benefit of consumers who may be burdened by exorbitant prices, especially during difficult times such as the current pandemic. He also reminded the public that violators of the suggested retail prices would face penalties and sanctions, in accordance with the law.
