San Juan councilor named chairman of MMCL
Councilor Kit Peralta takes on new leadership roles in the Philippine councilor community as he was sworn in as Chairman of the Metro Manila Councilors League (MMCL) and as a Board Member of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) last March 9, 2023, during the PCL 2023 National Convention held at the World Trade Center.
Councilor Peralta’s new post as MMCL Chairman will last until 2025. He was unanimously elected by his fellow councilors in Metro Manila last October 6, 2022, held at Conrad Hotel in Pasay City. His election was a testament to his track record of excellence and dedication to serving the people of San Juan.
Councilor Peralta also represented the City of San Juan, together with his colleagues from the Makabagong San Juan Council, during the 1st General Assembly of the MMCL held last March 29-31 in El Nido, Palawan.
As the newly-elected Chairman of the MMCL, he delivered his welcome remarks during the event, which was participated by councilors from 16 cities and a municipality in Metro Manila.
With his new leadership roles, Councilor Peralta hopes to bring more opportunities for the development and progress of San Juan and Metro Manila, as well as to promote better coordination and cooperation among local officials in the region.
