Ford, San Juan team up to promote safe, fuel-efficient driving
San Juan City residents had the opportunity to enhance their driving skills and learn about safe and fuel-efficient practices through a free seminar titled "Learning Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving in the New Normal." The event, organized by Hon. Councilor Ervic Vijandre in partnership with Ford Motor Company Philippines, took place at the San Juan City Sanggunian Session Hall on May 16, 2023.
As the number of vehicles on the road continues to rise in the midst of the ongoing pandemic, the project aimed to raise awareness about the importance of safe and fuel-efficient driving practices among motorists in the city. Councilor Vijandre emphasized the need for responsible driving to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of both drivers and pedestrians.
During the seminar, representatives from Ford Motor Company Philippines shared valuable insights and tips on how to drive efficiently and maintain vehicles properly. Participants learned about fuel-saving techniques, such as avoiding rapid acceleration and braking, maintaining appropriate tire pressure, and reducing idling time. The experts also stressed the significance of regular vehicle maintenance, including checking oil levels, tire condition, and brake systems.
Councilor Vijandre highlighted the importance of safe driving practices in his address to the participants. He emphasized that every driver has the responsibility to prioritize not only their own safety but also the safety of pedestrians and other road users. By adhering to traffic rules, practicing defensive driving, and avoiding distractions, drivers can contribute to a safer road environment for everyone.
The partnership between the San Juan City Government, represented by Councilor Vijandre, and Ford Motor Company Philippines serves as an inspiring example of collaboration between the public and private sectors for the benefit of the community. By working together, they aim to create a safer and more responsible driving culture among San Juaneños.
Councilor Vijandre expressed his gratitude to Ford Motor Company Philippines for their support and commitment to promoting road safety and fuel efficiency. He also underscored the importance of continuous learning and encouraged participants to apply the knowledge gained from the seminar in their daily driving habits.
The seminar on safe and fuel-efficient driving in the new normal serves as a testament to the San Juan City Government's dedication to the welfare and safety of its residents. Through proactive initiatives like this, the local government aims to empower motorists with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the roads responsibly, especially during these challenging times.
As the partnership between the San Juan City Government and Ford Motor Company Philippines continues to flourish, similar collaborative efforts are anticipated to further enhance the well-being and driving experience of the San Juaneño community. By prioritizing road safety and fuel efficiency, they are paving the way for a more sustainable and secure future on the streets of San Juan City.
