Mandaluyong Manpower Week showcases student skills
As part of the ongoing Manpower Week, students from the Mandaluyong Manpower Technical-Vocational Training Center (MMTVTC) showcased their acquired skills in creating non-alcoholic cocktail drinks. The event highlighted the center's commitment to providing quality technical-vocational education and training to its students.
Under the guidance of Manpower Center Chief Midge Tampinco, the students demonstrated their expertise in mixology, impressing the audience with their creativity and craftsmanship in concocting delicious and visually appealing mocktails. Alongside the showcase, Chief Tampinco also presented an overview of the upcoming programs and initiatives that the MMTVTC will be implementing.
To symbolize growth and development, the Manpower Center also presented plant gifts, signifying the blooming opportunities and progress within the MMTVTC.
The event welcomed a special guest, Engr. Jovencio Ferrer, the TESDA NCR Regional Director, who delivered a message of encouragement and congratulatory remarks. His presence added significance to the occasion and highlighted the collaboration between TESDA and the MMTVTC in providing quality technical-vocational education.
During the gathering, recognition was given to the students who emerged victorious in various categories at the recently concluded 2023 NCR Palaro Regional Athletic Meet. The achievements of Mandaluyong residents who excelled at the 32nd SEA Games Cambodia 2023 were also celebrated, showcasing the city's commitment to supporting and nurturing sports talents.
Furthermore, accolades were extended to the doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, and barangay officials who have been successful in carrying out vaccination efforts against Polio, Rubella, and Measles. Their dedication and hard work in ensuring the health and well-being of the community deserve commendation.
Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos congratulated all the participants and awardees, recognizing their accomplishments and emphasizing the importance of their contributions to the city. The event showcased not only the talent and skills of the students but also highlighted the city's commitment to fostering a dynamic and progressive community.
Mandaluyong City continues to prioritize the development and empowerment of its residents through comprehensive programs and initiatives in various fields, including technical-vocational education, sports, and public health. The Manpower Week serves as a platform to showcase the city's dedication to providing opportunities and support for the growth and success of its citizens.
