2 lawyers behind online learning platform visit Makati City Hall
Mayora Abby Binay welcomed lawyers Atty. Geraldine Acuña Sunshine and Atty. Myrish Cadapan Antonio to Makati City Hall yesterday for a courtesy visit. During the meeting, the two lawyers presented an online learning platform called “Khan Academy” to Mayora Abby and Department of Education-Makati Superintendent Rita Riddle.
Khan Academy is a non-profit organization that provides free online education to students worldwide. The platform offers a set of videos that cover a wide range of subjects and topics, allowing students to learn at their own pace. The lawyers emphasized how the platform could help students in Makati City excel in their studies and prepare them for their future careers.
Mayora Abby has always prioritized education as one of the key focus areas of her administration. She expressed her appreciation for the presentation and noted how tools like Khan Academy could enhance the learning experience of Makati students and teachers. She also thanked the lawyers for their efforts in advocating for better education and providing innovative solutions for Makati's students.
The Department of Education-Makati will further study Khan Academy and explore how it can be integrated into the city's educational system. Mayora Abby emphasized the importance of continuous innovation and development in education, especially as the world continues to face new challenges and opportunities.
